Wondering how 2012 is looking for both Commercial and Domestic markets for decking sales?
I have experienced an increase in the UK domestic market for 2012, even as its been an awful start to the year financially – mainly due to the weather – but the indications are that the rest of the year will be busy.
On the Commercial side, I haven’t noticed a change.
How has the year been for you?

More and more main contractors are using specialist decking companies and we are seeing a massive rise in commercial decking. Composite out stripping timber by 2:1
This is a good year for higher quality products

how has been the for you? 2012 is yet in May, but this year is going to be a great year.
We are an exporter, so at the beginning of the pipeline and we see some good perspectives in mainly new countries such as India, Turkey (seems to get very strong) but also pretty strange countries like Marocco and even Iran. The USA is way back and little by little emails are coming in but ordering has not yet happened.
By the way, the UK has never ever ordered ipe wood from our company, why would that be, is ipe not popular in the UK?Â
