What is the easiest way to remove a polyurethane coating from Cumaru decking?

Depending on the thickness of the application I would consider sanding. This would be time consuming and create plenty of toxic dust. A good respirator and goggles would certainly be recommended.

The best option would be to consider Owatrol Dilunett and then Neutralise with Owatrol Net-Trol

Allow to dry fully and then apply either D1 pro, a high grade exterior timber oil or Aquadecks, a waterbased decking oil.

Thats the conclusion I had come to, going to sub it to a company that specialise in sanding hardwood flooring and timber, funnily enough the same cost as I'd allowed with no hassle. Polyurethane is a nightmare to remove.
