so my knowledge was up to date, good promotion for new ipe decking orders, preferably at the company I work for!

The coastal boulevard is still a horrible concrete surface but you're right in saying the developed port area in north Tel Aviv has a large Ipe deck I thnk around 2000 squared metres, its very well built with ramps and hillocks incorporated to appears as waves and very popular with skateboarders I understand.
some fine decking you have there, Israel is a good ipe decking destination, if I am right in Tel Aviv the entire boulevard is of ipe, or at least a significant part of it? Anyway, we sell a lot to Israel. Good job!
Comment by Iain Shepherd on December 19, 2012 at 15:19 Thanks for the comments guys if memory serves me right it was 230 square metres of Ipe. Another point of interest is it was built 1.5 metres off the concrete subfloor in order to be lightweight because it sits above the carpark of a large residential tower. The developer was worried that the weight of the swimming pool and soil to surround the pool would be too much for the carpark roof. As a result its possible to walk crouched and get to any part of the construction from 'inside' the deck
