- started decking in 1989 using southern yellow pine as it has long lasting qualities and a good grain and grip. I gave a series of decking seminars in 2000 based at BALI Coventry. I have designed and built decks over 250m2, specialise in raised decks but i like to combine good landscape design with decks. I have been running the World Skills UK Landscape Gardeningcompetitons since 2005 and currently teach landscaping to Wisley Diploma students one morning a week at Wisley Gardens
