Karl has worked with the world’s leading decking brands, having been retained as a brand ambassador, technical consultant, and industry influencer for international manufacturers including Owatrol, GRAD Concept, FH Brundle, Country Supplies, Millboard and Trex, and is currently collaborating with Deckorators on UK and European market development. Recognised as the UK’s go-to expert for all things decking, Karl has authored the Industry Code of Practice for Timber and Composite Decking for the Association of Professional Landscapers (APL), where he also serves on the Committee. His standards-based approach underpins countless decking installations, ensuring durability, safety, and excellence in design and construction.

A natural communicator and educator, Karl regularly presents at FutureScape — the UK’s largest landscaping event — where he leads the Decking Hub, a live platform dedicated to industry innovation, technical education, and product advancement. He lectures for design colleges, Associations, Societies and serves as an instructor at TASK Training Academy, delivering LANTRA-accredited training for professional landscapers and contractors.
