So what is the difference between a good product and a poor one. The key element is the fibre used, hardwood is better than softwood which is better than wheat straw, the latter freemen’s when wet.

Next is the particle size of the fibre as too large is as bad as too small. The guideline is that 80 mesh is the prime position with larger particles requiring longer blending and smaller spreading the polymer too far and too hot. Finally moisture (water) content when extruded is a killer as the prime position is less than 1% with a ceiling of 4%. All of these things  affect product performance quality so be sure to look hard at the products you use and ask the questions.
