Our clients decided it was the right time to do something with their 20-year-old soft wood deck that was too rotten to use. They were visiting friends and had some drinks in their new garden. One of the main features of the new garden was a Smoked Oak Millboard Deck. This was their first encounter with Millboard and they decided this was the perfect decking for their project.

They didn’t need to look far for a professional installer because Karl Harrison Landscapes Ltd came highly recommended. They’re also approved Millboard installers and have been since Millboard began nearly 20 years ago.

Promptly getting in touch with Karl he arranged a site visit within the week they called. Karl took a full set of Millboard samples; with 11 colours to choose from it’s important to see them in the flesh. It definitely helps when choosing the right decking to have samples in the area you plan to put it. Millboard Weathered Oak Vintage was chosen by the client.

Where to buy Millboard Decking Locally

The project required approx. 9 sqm of decking and Karl was able to source everything he needed locally from Country Supplies. That includes substructure, fixings and of course the Millboard. Country supplies carry stock of most things making it very easy to quickly collect materials.

By using an approved Millboard Installer this deck has a lifetime warranty of 25 years. Millboard, the manufacturer, back this up themselves. We used recycled plastic to construct the substructure; this certainly won’t be going anywhere soon. In the space of a day Karl and the team removed the old deck and installed the new one.
