Within days a site survey was arranged and Karl got to meet Max and Jay in their much-loved garden. Karl took accurate measurements and put a design together so they knew exactly what their new decking would look like.
Accessing under a deck for maintenance
In a couple areas of the decking the clients needed access underneath to maintain drains. A simple case of some brushed stainless finger latches routed into the decking solved this. Often found on Yachts, they allow for instant access but still look good as a decking detail.
With the design signed off this project took the team 2 days to complete start to finish. All the screws are coloured to match the decking and are countersunk; this makes everything flush and safe for paws. Max and Jay now have a maintenance free composite EcoDek that is easy to keep clean, has a warranty of 25 years and thoroughly play proof.
