Where is the decking course located

Centrally located in rural Worcestershire in the West Midlands, we provide the ideal setting and environment for students to immerse themselves in practical skills training, taught in small groups by industry experts.

The course is led by industry expert Karl Harrison, from the Decking Network and this course always receives excellent feedback.

The UK LANTRA certified decking course

For two days you or your colleagues will immerse yourself in all things decking-related.  From installing a structurally sound sub-frame to EC5. Enjoy gaining a real understanding of the physical properties of the timber as well as how to identify the correct post, beam, joist and decking spans to British Standards.

Don’t worry, there’ll be no time to get bored and the teaching is a mixture of classroom and practical (outdoors).  As well as that practical advice and the skills, you’ll also be given the essential back-up knowledge of understanding elements such as –

• Planning permission relating to a domestic decking situation
• Building regulations regarding step construction
• How to set out a decking structure in accordance with Up to date British Standards
• How to follow the decking guidelines of the Association of Professional Landscapers
