The Decking Industry Has a Voice. Bring Yours to FutureScape 2026
The Decking Network began in 2010 to give decking professionals a place to share their work, exchange knowledge and reach the homeowners looking for skilled installers. More than 10,000 people now follow the Network, but its value still depends on the people who take part.
That is why we want to see you at FutureScape 2026.
What Decking Day taught us
The Decking Network created its first Decking Day with sponsorship from Deckorators Europe and a programme curated by Karl Harrison. Dozens of attendees came to learn, see new materials and meet others working in decking.
The response was emphatic. Installers spoke openly about the lack of general support available to them. They told us how valuable it was to have time for practical learning, CPD, product demonstrations and conversations with people who understand the realities of building decks.
Events like Decking Day take planning, investment and the support of people willing to share what they know. We make that commitment because bringing the industry together helps everyone do better work.
More than a place to talk decking
Across the UK, professional deck builders are creating outdoor spaces, running businesses and providing work for their teams. Their projects deserve to be seen.
The Decking Network helps professionals showcase those projects in the areas where they operate. A homeowner looking for a new deck can discover local work, see what an installer can achieve and make a more informed choice about whom to contact.
When professionals share their work and knowledge, the Network becomes more useful to homeowners and more valuable to the industry. There is strength in numbers: the more people who contribute, the further that work can reach.
Join us at the FutureScape Decking Hub
That same belief is behind our return to the Decking Hub at FutureScape 2026. On 13 and 14 October at Farnborough, Karl Harrison will host live demonstrations and conversations with the people developing, supplying, specifying and installing decking systems.
Come and see the latest materials up close. Ask how they work together, what they require on site and where they are best used. Bring the questions that arise during real projects; those are often the most useful questions in the room.

Your questions belong in the debate
The Decking Network has also been invited onto the official FutureScape programme. Our own Karl Harrison will chair “The Future of Decking: From Specification to Innovation”, alongside voices from design, installation and leading decking brands.
We are proud to see the Network represented in the FutureScape show guide and the wider show programme. It is a serious investment in decking as an industry, and an opportunity for the people doing the work to be heard.
We want your voice in that room.
If a product claim needs challenging, ask the question. Are you see a recurring problem on site, raise it. If you have an idea that would help installers, designers or customers, share it. There will be time for audience questions, and we want to hear yours.
Find The Decking Network at FutureScape
The Decking Hub will be at FutureScape on Tuesday 13 and Wednesday 14 October 2026 at Farnborough International Exhibition & Conference Centre.
Karl will chair the panel on Wednesday 14 October, 14:00–14:45, in the Outdoor Living & Nurture Theatre.
The first Decking Day showed what can happen when this industry gets together. FutureScape is our next chance to build on it. Come to the Hub, join the debate and help shape what The Decking Network does next.
Bring a question, bring a project, or simply join the conversation.
