Millboard Limed Oak Deck Installed in Denham

Millboard Limed Oak Deck Installed in Denham

As part of an garden design and landscaping scheme for the whole garden, Millboard is a key feature on this project. The clients had recently completed an extension with bifold doors it was now time to address the garden.

The clients were recommended Karl Harrison Landscapes Ltd as a professional and local company. Once in touch with Karl, they promptly booked in a convenient time for a site visit. Whilst there, Karl was able to accurately measure the areas and offer advice for the garden.

Firstly, it made sense to use decking to raise the ground level, this made access simple by bringing the ground level up to create a flush transition. Bifold doors like this are designed to achieve this flush finish. Karl came prepared with a range of material samples including decking. Millboard was an easy choice here because of the modern look and low maintenance feature.

From here Karl drew out the garden from the clients wishes. Once presented and signed off it was time to start the build. We were able to source most of the materials needed including the Millboard from Country Supplies. Also, keep in mind this was a really hard time to source materials. Let alone getting them delivered on time. (Covid restrictions were in place). Country Supplies delivered everything promptly and when they said materials would arrive. Because of this we cannot thank them enough and we wouldn’t have been able to work without them.

Client Feedback

Neither of us are eager gardeners, however that has all now been changed by the inspiration and enthusiasm of Karl.

We had seen work created by Karl, and thought that our ‘little’ project a landscaper would not be interested in.  How wrong we were. Karl swept into our lives, bubbling over with great ideas that we would never have ventured on our own. Listening to a few requirements that we needed, we then left the rest for Karl to create. A couple of days later, we had pictures of what our garden could look like. We were elated with the drawings, and then the work began. Throughout the whole journey, Karl kept us in the ‘garden’ with him. Our new creation was transformed.

At the end of the project he gave us a complete handover, showed us what we needed to do to maintain our beautiful new creation, nothing was too much trouble.

We believe Karl was a true professional throughout our whole experience, and you could not doubt that fact that he is credit to carry the name of a landscaper.

He came into our lives as a job, and leaves us as a friend.

We wish him all the best in his future ventures.”

Completing a whole garden landscaping project.

Some gardens are massive and require months of construction to complete the landscaping whilst other can be completed in a couple of weeks. It doesn’t matter how small or indeed how large the garden… We treat everyone in the same fashion. The materials have the same respect in the way they are placed and fixed into place… Furthermore, some materials are flame textured Mongolian stone from a hard to find quarry; Some are from the local builders merchants and none of this really matters. What does matter, is the care and the approach between contractor and client because this ensures a smooth project from start to finish. Consideration to keep the client up to date daily, materials delivered on time and most important of all follow the design…

Karl said “It was great working here, a pleasure to meet such lovely people. I think we had just about everything in this garden the clients wanted… and more”
